My focus is on providing practical solutions to my clients' needs at very reasonable rates. I have a creditor-side bankruptcy practice, and I focus on representing lenders and royalty and mineral owners in bankruptcy courts across the country. Additionally, I assist lenders with preparation and review of residential mortgage loan documents. I also offer a full-service collections practice. I handle state collections and bankruptcy representations on behalf of lenders and servicers. I take great pride in my personal service and our ability to move seamlessly between state and bankruptcy courts so that my clients may rest assured that their interests are represented.
I have significant experience representing debtors, creditors and court appointed professionals in Chapter 11, Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 proceedings. My experience is extensive in the following industries: semiconductors; oil and gas; solar energy, ad valorem tax, and real estate. Prior to opening my own practice, I was an associate with Latham & Watkins in San Francisco and a senior attorney with Akin Gump in San Antonio.

Successfully coordinated business development and multi-state marketing strategy for forming partnerships with social organizations, hospitals, clinics and other health care providers. Advised and represented clients in their claims for Social Security benefits. Appeared on behalf of clients in over 400 hearings in front of Administrative Law Judges in California, Nevada and Hawaii. Developed strategy for cases, including analyzing medical and other evidence, preparing witnesses to testify, drafting pre-hearing and post-hearing briefs, and crafting oral arguments for hearings. Conducted direct and cross-examination of lay and expert witnesses at hearings. Drafted appellate briefs. Successfully managed a caseload of over 200 active cases at once.

From 2008 to 2011, I represented debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 proceedings. I gained significant debtor side Chapter 11 experience while representing large publicly and privately held debtors, including participating in section 363 sales, negotiating a variety of settlements for court approval, handling contract rejection motions, and drafting first day motions, disclosure statements and Chapter 11 plans.
